Open Gender Journal
Vol. 7 (2023)This is volume 7 of Open Gender Journal – a peer-reviewed open access journal for intersectional gender studies.
Open Gender Journal publishes research articles in an open section as well as in several thematic sections, which are curated by section editors.
In our latest section "Digital Gender", we publish contributions from the conference „Digital Gender: Ethik, Macht und (Geschlechter-)Wissen in Systemen künstlicher Intelligenz“ (Ethics, Power and (Gender) Knowledge in Artificial Intelligence Systems), which was organized by the GenderConceptGroup of TU Dresden in 2022. They discuss potentials and risks of digitalization as well as the critical correlation between artificial intelligence systems and diversity sensitivity. The qualitiy of the articles in this section is ensured by a combination of one open and one anonymous review.
We also continue our collaboration with the Mexican open access journal Debate Feminista: The section "Debate Feminista x Open Gender Journal: Gender-specific and Sexual Harassment, Discrimination and Violence in Higher Education Contexts" brings together international research on this topic. To contribute to the section, see our joint Call for Papers.
In addition, we invite suggestions for the Forum section and for book reviews. New contributions are published on an ongoing basis. Submissions and proposals for contributions are most welcome at any time.
