Tamara Candela, Anti-Feminizid-Netzwerk

Tamara Candela (she/her) studied Latin American Studies and Religious Studies at the University of Hamburg and received her PhD in Sociology from the Bielefeld Graduate School in History and Sociology (University of Bielefeld). Her research interests focus on social conflicts, crises, and grievances (social inequality, experiences of (gender-based) violence) and how social actors deal with them. Since becoming involved in the Anti-Feminicide Network, her research has focused primarily on feminicide and violence against women. Tamara works as a consultant on these topics and has realized several teaching assignments on feminicide with Tabea Louis.

Tabea Louis, Anti-Feminizid-Netzwerk

Tabea Louis (she/her) studied Sociology (BA) and International Criminology (MA) at the University of Hamburg. Her interests are located in the sociology of knowledge, police science, and (queer) feminist violence research. She currently moves between activism, academia, and social work. Within the Anti-Feminicide Network, she has engaged in local documentation work and participated in numerous rallies and festivals to make the stories of violence and resistance visible. Academically, she has participated with Tamara Candela in teaching assignments on feminicide and in the paper now published here. As a social worker, she works for the StoP project – “Stadtteile ohne Partnergewalt“, a neighborhood-based prevention project of gender-based violence.
