This volume focuses on the new market-economy oriented forms of governance that have become established in the course of the higher education reform and the framework conditions of these developments. In the course of the managerialisation of the university, comparability by means of key figures and indicator-based competitive logic is coming to the fore. The contributions examine the effects of these developments on working conditions and academic subjects, on gender equality policies, and finally on academic feminism itself. On the one hand, measuring procedures have the potential to empower subjects through their appropriation; on the other hand, they intensify the pressure of competition.
